State Farm, Indiana Blood Center, Air Force, Ivy Tech and NHTSA Featured at Auto Show

Tens of thousands of consumers are expected to attend the 104th Indianapolis Auto Show. America’s second-longest-running auto show returns to the Indiana Convention Center Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 through Monday, Jan. 1, 2018. Twenty-one auto manufacturers from around the world will display their 2018 model automobiles, SUVs, light-duty trucks and luxury vans in more than 400,000 square feet of exhibit space.

In addition to the new model vehicles, auto manufacturers will feature their specialty vehicles and more. Consumers will be able to speak with automotive product specialists surrounded by more than 400 vehicles displayed in spectacular exhibits.

State Farm® would like to welcome Indianapolis Auto Show attendees to the State Farm Garage, a fully interactive auto show experience built for those who love cars just as much as we do. The State Farm Garage features the RoadHouse Challenge, an augmented reality touchpoint that allows consumers to create their own RoadHouse and drive through a digital course. The Garage also includes the Right Combination Memory Game, where attendees flip to match auto and home-themed images for a chance to win stress balls, air fresheners, ice scrapers and car safety tools.

The Indiana Blood Center will have one blood mobile as well as a small four-bed blood drive setup inside the Auto Show space at the Convention Center. To make an appointment for a blood donation at the Auto Show, please visit: www.indianablood.org/indyautoshow. Founded in 1952, the Indiana Blood Center is a nonprofit organization and vital community resource dedicated to maintaining a stable blood supply for more than 60 hospitals in Indiana.

The Air Force X-1 Supercar is an interactive experience showcasing Air Force careers and technology. The display includes Airman Challenge kiosks, Spec Ops Samsung Virtual Reality headsets, and videos along with a Ford Mustang designed with Air Force technology. The U.S. Air Force is best known for pilots and the aircraft they fly, but in addition to the many flight careers, the branch also employs Airmen in more than 130 careers, more than 50 of them dealing with multiple aspects of technology, mechanics, engineering and electronics. The Supercar was created to demonstrate how youth’s passion for cars and mechanics can develop into a career in the U.S. Air Force.

Visitors to the Ivy Tech Community College booth can interact with faculty and hands-on equipment from the automotive technology program. They can also apply on the spot, grab giveaways, and enter into a drawing to win a scholarship at the College.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will have a display called “Check to Protect,” designed to generate awareness for vehicle recalls of all brands.

The Indianapolis Star returns as a “Gold Sponsor.”

“This year’s 104th show has so much to offer. The manufacturers are optimistic and the consumer gets to see why they are so excited,” said Tom Miller, president of The Indianapolis Automobile Trade Association. “We’ve utilized every inch of the space to make the most of your visit. Come out and spend some time with family and friends during the holidays at the 2018 Indy Auto Show. We know you won’t be disappointed!”
